It was plastic wrapped, and a good layer of buffer to prevent damage. One thing that wasn't what I wouldn't describe the item as "excellent" is when opening the disc tray, I need to hold down the front shield to actually insert a DVD but other wise product was well cleaned and came with an HDMI cable as well, all and all super happy!

If your ad states the product will be shipped with a certain carrier, but a different carrier is used is untrustworthy. This was advertised as using UPS, I paid for it, but was shipped via USPS. The USPS in my area stole a laptop out of the box, then delivered the box. On this shipment, the carrier threw the box in front of my door. I was 20 feet away and heard it. Untrustworthy seller, period.
