It was an iPad and there is a mark on the back "xxx CISD 2014 Bond". I contacted seller who promptly refunded me and let me keep the frozen iPad. That's very nice of the ebayer to do so. To investigate a bit more, I called the school. The iPad was retired in 2023 but the serial number was still in their database. Once the iPad cleared from the the record, iPad was fine. Seller should do this before listing.
