      Great microphone!

      After using some off-brand wireless microphones for a couple years, I decided to invest in the Shure brand. The PGXD24 is easy to use and has the clean, crisp sound that Shure is known for. I did have to bring the gain levels down, as the PG58 head is VERY hot! Overall, super pleased with my purchase.

      Very good, but....

      I bought this to replace my old VHF analog Audio Technica wireless mic. I was looking for better performance without so much electronic interference at various venues. Top marks for this. It has the same sound as an SM58, but wireless with great resistance to interference. Leaving it on the mic stand works great, you would never guess it was wireless. Sounds just like an SM58, no surprises. But handheld, it picks up every little movement from your hands. Dragging your finger slightly produces loads of acoustic noise. A wedding toast was full of hand-motion noise. I don't know if the guests were bothered, but I was. Hopefully no one really notices.       Shure PGXD wireless

      I own 4 of these Shure PGXD handheld wireless systems. Some have the SM58 capsule some have the Beta 58a capsule. They all sound as good as my Shure wired microphones. They are reasonably priced and performance flawlessly. I highly recommend these systems.
