    Fantastic lens

    The Zeiss 35mm F1.4 lens is a heavy, manual lens with all metal and glass. I felt a little uncomfortable to have such a big 35mm lens, compared to my tiny Canon 35mm F2. But after I did some test shots and upload them into the computer, I fell in love with it immediately. The color is so vivid and natural, very close to what I saw by my eyes, even more saturated in color. The color it renders has more in blue and green when compared to the Canon ones. The image is sharp in F1.4 but the DOF is usually to short to apply in most cases. The image is very sharp at F2.8 and later. Fantastic performance in backlight and lowlight. Manual focus is not a problem at all in most cases. Turning the smooth focusing ring is really enjoying.
