    Limitations

    This is a good idea for a wood stove fan, but you have to be careful the top doesn't get too hot and the fan blades don't turn fast enough to move the heat very far across the room. It will however be better than nothing when the electricity goes out and it is the only way to get the heat circulated. Overall, it is a good deal and a good price, to have as a backup when there is no other heat source.

    It does work a little!

    It does not blow the heat to good, don't get me wrong it does but the fan does not turn fast enough to move the heat very well . I could not notice a difference.

    Works perfect on my propane Hearthstone stove.

    Pros:Used on top of my propane Hearthstone stove. Works great. I measured top of stove temp and it gets to 275F degrees so fan works, fan actuates around 185F. Fan spreads warm air throughout living room. Cons: none so far

    When there’s no power

    The fan is unique in that heat activates and regulates it’s speed. It’s not so large that you feel a breeze from it but it gently moves the warm air across the room. Cool!
