    Great programmable LUX thermostat was available to replace 13 year old model with same model. Works great

    A 13 year old LUX programmable thermostat was acting up and I feel fortunate to have found the exact same product, considering the model was discontinued. The thermostat I received was exactly as pictured, which was important in that I could install it myself with no changes to wiring. I am very pleased with the results, I highly recommend the LUX thermostat, however there can't possibly be very many in my situation, and who knows, I may have the found the last one.

    N.eeded to be fixed to work

    The problem was that the thermostat came with batteries that had coroded and I had to clean the cotacts and remove the battery leakage befor I could use it. After fixing these things it works well.

    Set it and Forget it

    This is the second one I've installed and used in my home. I just replaced the one that had given me great service for over 10 years. This is identical to the first one so it was easy for me to program it and start it up. It is very accurate in controlling the heat in the house, and looks good on the wall. I couldn't ask for anything more from it. I don't have air conditioning so I can't comment how it would control that.

    Solid unit

    This is a great programmable thermostat. The only negative is it would be nicer to have larger display screen. However the light button for display screen really helps (for older eyes)

    Does it’s job

    Well it’s a direct replacement for the old lux thermostat I’ve had. Took the old unit out and put in the new unit. Didn’t need it until the heatwave started here in California. Went to use and all seemed well and then the unit turned off. Thought maybe it was defect. I took it apart and the cool/heat selector pins needed to be pushed out more to create more tension against inside the unit. Works good now.
