        Great radio.

        I purchased the ICOM IC718 from a great guy who took very good care of the transceiver. Great price. I like everything about the radio except for AGC. It's always in the fast mode and there is no way to change this. Other than this it is a great starter rig. I am using it for a back up radio for my Yaesu FTDX1200. I highly recommend the ICOM IC718.         Excellent Quality Manuals

        The quality of these manuals are better than the originals. I especially like the comb binding, makes it easier to lay the manuals down while using them. The thickness of the paper and the photos are of excellent quality also. I have to admit I was a little skeptical at first until the day they came in the mail and I opened the package. I was pleasantly surprised to find how well they looked and how well they were made. I highly recommend Kay's Quality Manuals.

        My Little Radio

        Best of the bunch. Easy to operate and foolproof. I have set mine up for a Rigbaster and a computer to do PSK31 and Baudot. Works great. I see a lot of these for sale but don't be dismayed, they work great and are very durable. I have had mine for two years without a hitch and i bought it used from a service company that used it for moble use. Give one a try. Bob

        Compact rig with a lot of functions.

        Every function that I test on this rig works as expected. Also it takes up very little desk space. It is complicated so it takes a lot of time to learn to take full advantage of it. I use it as part of my home station running on a deep cycle rechargeable battery with a charger. So I can provide communications in an emergency.

        GREAT RADIO!!!!!

        Great radio not a lot of hidden menus, most needed items on front panel. Design is 11 years old and they are still making them NEW. Can be enhanced with adding an SDR front end receiver with waterfall on computer, which can also set IC-718 transmitter to same frequency for transmit. They make a GREAT TEAM!!!!!! instead of spending $$$$$ on NEW SDR transceiver .
