The true test will be if it lasts longer than the original which started to fail after about one year. Failure occurred in the female pin connector on the handle (see photo added below). The metal tube pin receptor loosens and drops down making electrical contact inconsistent. This design is same as original. Hopeful it is more secure. In the meantime I am enjoying vacuuming my rugs once again! Thanks. Dave
