This is not a fault of the key fob, the rear hatch lock is simply not remote enabled. I knew this was a possibility when I ordered the key fob so it's not a disappointment.

And by the way, save yourself some money: either google “program remotes” on YouTube or with key in ignition, push the vehicle’s unlock button on the door. Turn your key to turn on the dashboard lights eight times, leaving your key on the on position, push the lock button on the remote, turn the key off push the remote and it’ll work.
