You'll need tools to drill holes into metal framework in order to assemble it as many bolt holes were missing. It was so frustrating to be assembling the second side of the cage only to learn that I needed to take it apart to bring it out to get drilled. Other concerns: the bars are like canary cage thin bars - not great for a larger parrot. The playstand also has a laughable ladder made for a parakeet at best.
