    Incredible Tool for Strengthening Guitar Fingers

    Your fingers will definitely need work. If you never used one of these before; your fingers will be weak (particularly the little finger and one next to it. Realize that the 'imitation strings' for creating calluses are under the rubber pad. Flip the pad to the other side and use the three imitation 'strings' to roughen up the tips of your left fingers. At first, the picture showed the rubber being flat on the bottom. When it came, it was the curved one. I thought, "Oh, gee. I wanted the one that was flat" because I thought it was going to be uncomfortable to have the wavy one; but it was perfect. The newer design is the one with the curvy pad. It is better than the flat one. Fits your palm perfectly.

    Remarkable product!

    I have been using squeeze balls to maintain strength, especially in my chording hand but this little device is much better for my purposes. i believe my grip is actually becoming stronger, and that's saying a lot for a 71 year old. I really like that you can adjust each finger piston for individual effort and the additional features are great. Highly recommended!

    Great Product!

    This is a great product - providing “core training” to keep one’s hands in shape (beyond the normal muscular requirements experienced by playing an instrument). Also, it’s great to keep in shape during travel and while doing “boring chores” — waiting in the checkout line in the grocery store etc. The only “problem” is once I lend one to a student to try out, they really don’t want to give it back! Hence numerous reorders! Five Stars!

    Excellent product for guitar beginners

    Had a few years hiatus from guitar. Started back and discovered the arthritis in my fingers and hands makes them not only tender but weak as well. So, I sit watching tv using the exerciser. I’ll use it a few minutes to strengthen individual fingers, then switch it over to toughen my finger tips with the string simulator. After a week, I could tell much difference in both finger and grip strength, as well as tougher finger tips. I highly recommend this product if you’re just beginning, or returning to the guitar.

    Grip strength

    I purchased this in order to achieve more grip strength for playing the bass. I feel as though it has helped my grip strength in the short time I’ve had it. I will however, add a cautionary note. I feel that overdoing it, may potentially cause more damage (tendonitis, etc) than good. I guess like all things, it is best done in moderation. But overall, I do think this is a helpful product is used correctly.
