    Amazing Player, a bit expensive but worth every penny

    This DAP is exceptional... sound is similar to the Sony WM1A. This player is fast (Android 9) and although the SONY Music app is ideal for high res files (Flac, DSD, DSF) you can load any Android app you choose, including Tidal. I use Tidal High Res streaming and it sounds as good as my Flac files loaded on a 400GB card. The player is versatile, runs without any lag (+30,000 files in my library) , and sounds really great - easily comparable to the WM1A, AK240 tier of DAPs. The key to this player, as with any, is the earphone or headphone you use... I've heard many players with various high end in-ear or headphones. I use Acoustune 1551CU iems with an iBasso balanced cable and Campfire Audio's Andromeda's (2019 edition) with a 4.4MM balanced Sony MUC cable... both sound AMAZING... Having ...

    Dismal battery life and poorly thought out buttons, but solid SQ and super portable

    Pros: - Great form factor: pocket and hand friendly - Decent amount of built-in storage, plus microSD slot - 120 volume levels (Android otherwise has only 15)! - Uses a USB-C port rather than a proprietary connector (as previous models did) - Runs Android, including Google Play Store. So: --You can add pretty much every streaming service! --You can use any of a multitude of great apps for playback of locally-stored music, including some which can play more audio formats than Sony's own app, and some which can output bit-perfect audio via the USB port (e.g., Neutron, USB Audio Player Pro). Neutral: sound quality. It seems fine but I honestly hear no obvious difference between this and my phone or my $150 DAP.
