    Fantastic Phono Preamp at a great price!!

    This was the third Phono Preamp I tried after my Marantz vintage amp crapped out on the phono input. The other two worked but not a quality sound. This one is different. First of all I love natural compression by tubes and this does it for both channels since there are two tubes. Well made and looks great. Nice professional packaging. The price is well worth it and this built very professionally.

    Warm but weak

    The preamp performs as advertised. The amp does not work without the tubes so apparently the circuit will only be completed with the tubes inserted. The sound is warm and mellow - maybe too mellow. I have to turn the volume control on the pre-amp to the maximum in order to get decent volume on my system which includes an Outlaw Amp and Integrated Amp with Focal bookshelf speakers.
