      Adequate for carrying, not very secure.

      Holster is nicely made. Bulldog is a "name brand". Adequate for carrying. Nylon is too flexible for real security, even with thumb strap. Bulldog website shows a different size number for the Sp101, with this holster being the one for J frames. As sloppy as this is on the Sp101, can't see it for the J frame. Without having both sizes to compare, no conclusion.

      Worst revolver holster ever!

      Bought this to securely carry my Smith 686 but no way will it work. The cheap adjustable velcro thumb snap straps will in no way prevent your firearm from falling out. I would go so far as to say any of the Bulldog holster made like this one without enough velcro or a cheap version of it will hold a firearm. Then on top of that it is impossible to get it to fit as it should. Cheap, total junk.

      Ok, but not the greatest

      This is a fantastic holster for someone who does NOT intend to carry it daily. It is a good place to park your revolver, as far as I can tell it will not mar the finish. The steel belt clip is rather thin and has sharp edges from the manufacturing / stamping out process. These are sure to damage any good holster belt. I use it nightly wearing it while I walk my dog. It serves my purpose well.
