    It's the real deal.

    Actual onboard experience with the crew of the Memphis Belle on a bombing raid in Germany during WWII. Gives a new appreciation of the courage of these airmen.

    There is a picture of the actual plane, see above.

    Disappointing. Although directed by William Wyler, it only uses newsreel and footage shot by US Army photographers. It's about their last mission, but there's no drama or suspence since we all know they made it. No crew interviews and nothing about what it felt like to survive 25 missions over Germany and then be earmarked to finally go home. There is a picture of the actual plane. But lots of other footage from other squadrons during the war, you can tell by the Squadron DF and the A letter of the plane.
