      You get what you pay for.

      This was easy to hook up but the converter distorts the picture. I found darkened the image on the screen quite a bit that came from my DVD player . I was not able to readjust the TV settings to offset this. As it turns out I never needed it after I realized that I could hook up the DVD player in a different way. I then was able to confirm that the image was better with the direct hookup. The primary issue was the image coming from the converter being darkened quite a bit so that images with lots of shadows are not reproduced well.
