    Quiet yet powerful

    This is a perfect cooling mat for a small 12" laptop that has problems with overheating. It is much quieter than most fans that I've used with other systems. It runs off the USB port on the laptop (I have it plugged into a powered USB hub). Most of the newer units are for larger laptops and require desk space that is not needed for the laptop as they stick out under the laptop.

    What Did tarsus Abandon This Chill Mat? It is Better than their New ones!

    This Chill Mat is Lighter, Thinner, Quieter and Less Expensive than their New ones. I have no idea why they changed the design.
