The brief itself is correct but the waist band is like a full size smaller than ordered. 37 waist and I got XL- the waist is no more than a "L" and yet I saw that these are old school obviously and they DO FIT my natural waist, right above my hip bone. So yes, they are a great fit- and I have no issue with the higher placement of the waist band.
