      Yes, it is easy to put seed in it. Whether or not it's squirrel proof remains to be seen, but you'll get squirrels around it anyway, they'll go for the seed the birds drop on the ground underneath. It's important to use a feeder that keeps the seed dry, otherwise, the seed goes bad if it gets wet at all. Will find out if this one does the trick.
