      Great device for removing water

      my driveway is sloped towards the house. Each spring the snow melts and floods the car port ! I sunk a pit into the ground and use this flotec pump , adapter and rubber garden hose to pump it to the street and down the block to the sewer. The pump is plugged into my vehicle timer plug AC outlet. The float shuts off the pump when the water is below the pump to prevent damage to it. The timer shuts off power to the pump when melting at night doesn't occur. All works very well unattended and the pump moves the water quick enough to prevent flooding. This is my second Flotec pump in 10 years of use. The first one had a failure recently of the motor capacitor and was replaced with this one.
