        Established Brand and Product

        Replacement for previous identical pump, twenty years of service as circulator for solar hot water production in private household. Bought at acceptable price ($250) - other prices in market in the $600 range.

        May Last, May Not

        Not sure how to rate this pump. The one this replaced was only 8 years old, and on the basement zone that only got used half those years and only during the NJ winters. I would have thought I would have gotten better longevity; bearings seized. Then again, the up stairs zones uses the same pump and it has been a flawless workhorse for those 8 years. Has three speed setting; which is nice, but only use the Medium setting. Update 10 months later - the above noted replacement pump just died again I NEVER HAD PROBLEMS W/ TACO 1-speed PUMPS FOR 30 YEARS ON MY OTHER BOILER.

        Good value

        It is a standard Grundfos circulator. It was painted black insead of the standard red, leading to the possibility that it was refurbed. That's not an issue, as this well-built product has few wearing parts and lends itself to rebuilding. The price was significantly below retail, and it functions perfectly.
