    Sounding Very Good

    This Yamaha receiver has a very good sound and I would encourage anyone looking for a unit that can do alot to buy it but beware.. I haven't had it that long so haven't gotten all the bells and whistles figured out yet. I have found that it isn't the easiest receiver to set up. I think the instructions are a bit hard to decipher in places. Just when you think you have found the right page for a certain function, it refers you to another page for more info. I felt frustrated understanding some of the explanations on how to get it set up. I have found it worthwhile however not to give up no matter how hard the instructions are to understand. If you are not that tech savvy and tend to be impatient, you might want to pass on this one.

    AMAZING RECEIVER !!

    This YAMAHA is a great receiver, the sound is powerful, very clear and has many options to improbe even more the sound perfomance. I connected to my four BOSE 791 Virtually Invisible speakers and a Yamaha Yst-sw216 10"subwoofer, the sound is so loud and clear that I don't need to go even to +0 volume. And about image quality the HDMI 2.2 is great and you don't lose any HD resolution even on the 3d.

    Great receiver, solid sound

    I am very pleased with this receiver. Performance and quality all appear to be top notch. My use is primarily a sound hub for a 7-speaker Polk audio system for DVD/Blue-ray/TV. As with most receivers like this, the plethora of features makes setup and use a bit challenging to learn. However, it was not unreasonably complex. My only complaint is that the remote is not programmable for my other devices. Both of my previous (cheaper) receivers had a "universal" remote so now I have to pull out two additional remotes. Other than that, this thing is great!

    Great receiver but must have remote.

    It does everything it advertises. Great sound quality. But without the operators manual and remote it isn’t possible to access most features. But it was sold without the remote and that’s how I bought it.

    Excellent Surround sound receiver.

    Really needed an owners manual.Hard to download a manual spacific to this model.This makes hook up and operating more difficult.The unit was on good condition and works well.
