        Superior than the original

        The new latches were easy to install. Why doesn't Igloo install them on new coolers ? A larger diameter screw would be helpful because when removing the original screws the plastic can come out with the screw leaving the hole too large for the screw provided. The hybrid latches just make sense after seeing how the original ones tear off.

        Latches too expensive, but worth it.

        Easy install. I have an older style Igloo Cooler that had the white plastic latches and it was an easy fit. May have drill new holes but they work great. Definitely an upgrade. I’ve had this white 100 gallon Igloo cooler that I bought from Costco about 6-7 yrs ago and It will blow any Arctic or Yeti cooler out of the water in regards to keeping the ice from melting. Absolutely, love the coolers.

        Sturdy design

        We had had repeated failures with all-plastic latches, so ordered this one with an actual hinge, hoping it would be better, and it is. It's very sturdy and operates smoothly. It didn't exactly fit our model of Igloo cooler,but with a little trimming on the cooler itself it fit and is working fine.

        Perfection why didn't my cooler come with it in the first place

        This was the perfect addition. If you have a Igloo cooler that has those flimsy plastic hinges etc. Please replace them immediately. Well worth it. I am surprise it didn't come with it in the first place.
