Product Information
This twisted tale of family woe is dramatic from start to finish. The film revolves around Carlota, a young woman born to the bitter Bernarda and the very wealthy Leopoldo. After Leopoldo leaves his money to his daughter Carlota and her half-sister Eugenia, their mother Bernarda tries every way she can to keep a leash on the young women so that she can control their inheritances. When Carlota grows up and marries, it is against Bernarda's wishes. Bernarda constructs a wicked plan to control her daughter's life, which results in broken loyalty and lies which extend beyond the family and into the neighboring community.
