    Fresh manufacture. Condition is new. Axle and locknuts nice, well finished, with a hard nitrided finish. Good value. [For me this is fine, because in my case the axle was all I needed; my hub uses sealed bearings.] Conversely, the bearing cones appear to be phosphated, and not well machined. I would try to find hard chromed or machined ones, which would likely be easier on your ball bearings.

    It's what it looks like

    In this case, what you see is what you get. An M10x1.0x 141mm long rear axel for 130 OLD hub build. The cones and locknut's were all high quality and well finished. I needed to mix and match washers and spacers to make the correct fit for my 8 speed wheel, and that worked fine. Since I wasn't buying the original part for my rear hub I didn't expect the bearing seals to be a good fit. But they were.

    Nicely Made Axle

    Replaced the rear axle on my old Soma 10-speed (5-speed hub) - a bit long but no 135 mm OAL axle available. Simply machined a few mm off each end.
