    Plug and play

    I bought my laptop in 2008. Bluetooth was a new consept then so I didn't get it put into the build from Dell. Through the years of change and upgrades I notice dell still provided a socket in the motherboard for future upgrade to bluetooth. This year I bought a mini card to fill that socket. after researching and downloading the proper drivers, shizam, I have operational blue tooth. I now use a 2.4ghz wireless mouse with my windows 7 ultimate drive and my windows 10 drive. Oh, I have two drives in the laptop. The Dell PW876 PCI-e 370 wireless Bluetooth Card operates flawlessly. So, if you were lucky enough to get a dell studeo 1735 back in the day and still have it. This card will bring you up to date.

    Upgrade your old laptop

    This was pretty low cost, and the right form factor so I ordered it to see if it would work in my older Toshiba Satellite L305 laptop even though this was originally for a Dell PC. It plugged right in (you have to remove the keyboard to do the swap, but no other disassembly is required) and the antenna cables snapped into the connectors on the board. The laptop, which has been upgraded to Windows 10, was connected to my network with an Ethernet cord, so it was already online when I started it even though the card did not yet have a driver. Windows found and installed a driver for the card automatically. It worked perfectly, and now my laptop has 802.11n WiFi. (the card that came in the laptop when it was new was only the older and much slower 802.11g)
