It truly does stop cracks or cracking if you have brittle nail ends like me. I will say that you need to apply it with the wooden stick that comes in the kit. You can not touch the plastic little oval pieces before applying them to your nail or it won't stick properly and it'll come off prematurely. Use the wooden stick and it'll stay on your nail for weeks - through washings & lotion application
