    Nicely made but inconsistent

    In fairness, I'm reading that this type of thermometer really can't give consistent results compared to an in-ear or in-mouth thermometer. That said, this is well-made and is "consistently" 0-1.5 degrees off (normally lower) than contact thermometers. It has its uses though and this seems to be as good as any on the mkt. Quality is good and shipping was as promised.

    Extremely inaccurate.

    Followed written and video directions exactly. Unit functioned but with extreme inaccuracies. Used on both myself and my wife and the readings consistently read between 32 and 33 C. I was leary of this purchase. Will return this.

    Tap operating button when ready to measure

    Best operating instructions: Position unit properly; then tap and release operating button; wait for beep(s); then read results. the instruction manual seems less clear, and holding the button down before proper positioning. seems to prevent measurement. Used properly, this unit appears to be accurate, quick, and easy to operate. Good screening tool. Bill Moore

    Very happy with it

    The most important thing about this thermometer is that is touch free. You can take your baby’s temperature without upsetting him or her. You can also check temperatures of objects but I never needed to check that. Very easy to set up and use.. Happy with it.
