      Quality performing US made product let down by poor bike mounting system

      Easily seen day or night. Variety of strobe effects grab motorist attention. Uses micro USB which is ok but with everything moving to USB C will soon be obsolete. Sturdy, compact and well sealed against moisture. I've been charging every 4-5 hours of riding (on strobe-full brightness) but honestly haven't had a full discharge yet. Only gripe is that it uses a fiddly rubber band type mount to secure to seat post, which seems destined for eventual failure as you need to remove light repeatedly from bike to charge unless you have a charger near your bike. The light has a handy clip on back nice for attaching to belt/backpack. A slide mount of some sort for the bike would be more appropriate for the premium price point.

      They old model is better

      The mounting bracket has been super cheap.The older models were twice as good. You could just unclog it to charge it.You now have a rubber strap that is going to break making the light useless.

      Absolutely get *this* light!

      I do a lot of daylight rides, and this was highly rated for daylight. It's extremely bright, and the flashing mode is easy to cycle through- just tap the power button. The elastic strap is long and perfect for either my older, traditional bike's chainstay, or on my newer bike with a "blade" style seatpost, it is long enough to wrap around and stay on there, good and snug. Best of all, it's USB-rechargeable, so not having to deal with batteries that end up in a landfill is nice. The battery life is long. I normally ride about 2 1/2 to 3 hours at a time, and I can leave the light on the bike two days in a row with no "blackouts".

      Cygolite, when you want the best.

      Absolutely love Cygolite. I bring them on every bike ride, day or night. You'll definitely be seen. Not entirely sure why anyone would ride without one of these at their back. Bright, fastens securely, reliable, and did I say bright? I get almost a week's worth of use from each charge, naturally everyone will be different. My absolute favorite rear tail light.
