    Far exceeds all expectations in both performance and price. Blows away my Kenwood Excelon KFC-X174 they replaced in low end, vocals and SPL. Seller's auction description, however is incorrect. Their factory box had indeed been opened before it reached me, with all 16 mounting screws, 8 speed clips and gasket foam missing. Bag for one speaker clearly had been torn open. Screen shot included here is from JBL's web site of what should've been in the box.

    I am a perfectionist - JBL fit the bill - Can't imagine a better solution

    I have owned JBL speakers since the 1960's - Including their JBL L100's - They are a standard of excellence and durability - that is why I purchased this set for my Classic 2001 Chevrolet Silverado Short-bed pickup. As a "perfectionist" it took me a few hours to decide how to mount them in the doors without modification - I needed to make a wiring harness adapter out of the old speaker connector and 8" of wire, and purchase (8) 1" machine screws with nuts to do the job - and the result is was better than the factory speakers. Better sound reproduction in every way. Great value and great quality - just what one expects from JBL.
