It is lighter and has a full cork grip that looks great and feels high quality. It is a truly fast rod unlike many other light and ultralight rods claim to be. It balances perfectly with my Shimano Stradic 1000hg spooled with Sufix 832 8lb and a 4lb test with a Fireline 4lb leader.
