Developed by the man behind the Harvest Moon series, Hometown Story finds players returning to their small village to take over the shop they inherited from their recently deceased grandmother. Players create and customize their own character and then set about growing their shop by exploring the local wilderness for items to sell and by talking and trading with fellow townspeople and vendors. The village begins to thrive as gamers sell more items, and customers become friends who all have unique stories and needs, but players are free to pursue their own goals in any way they please.

    Another Grand Adventure

    Graphics are astounding. Could use more tho. And the gameplay is awesome. You run a shop and start in a small town. I dont know, but anything seems possible

    Disappointing

    There was no tutorial at all, it just throws you straight into the game with a few instructions on how to run the shop and that's it. You can't stock more than one item on each table (i.e. you have to put another strawberry down if someone buys it, meaning you have to keep restocking, and setting the prices). That gets very repetitive and boring. The charcters are not interesting in the slightest. I was very dissapointed, I imagined this being a lot better since Natsume made this game as well as Harvest Moon. "Harvest Moon: Magical Melody" has been my favorite game by them so far, but "A New Beginning" on the 3DS is good as well, though a little slow paced at the beginning.

    Slow to Begin. Exactly as described.

    Its exactly as described. I'm just an exhausted mom and I don't have the patience for the very slow beginning. I think I'm going to stick with playing my Harvest Moon and Story of Seasons games. Rune Factory Harvest Moon games are amazing too!

    The game is mediocre. But the store did an exception job! Description was good and service was great, and the price was good. Any complaints I would have are for game devs. This store did great and even have a nice stock!
