Because of sitting without a charge or usage the rechargeable battery would not charge but the seller was very good and we agreed that I would keep the radio and just purchase a new battery from Baofeng. The seller graciously refunded a portion of the purchase price for the battery situation. I purchased the new battery and it arrived yesterday all's great.
