It’s definitely either a closeout or returned product from a big retailer, because the box was all taped up haphazardly, but that doesn’t bother me. The base is very heavy marble, it did have a few chunks that chipped off probably in shipping, that’s ok because I’m using it in my studio and I nobody is looking at the bottom of a floor lamp here. Took about 30 min to set up with my partner. Works great, lots of light, and great deal!

Be ready for the fact that it is big; in a cramped space the lampshades could be head bangers. It looks like a tree with paper lanterns suspended from the branches - nice. The package arrived intact with all parts. ALERT! There is a very small nut that may be loose in the package - don't lose it! The base is very heavy which makes it sit solidly on the floor. Price, product, and packaging - all good. I just bought another one!
