      Kato 31 601 ride control truck

      These trucks are really very easy rolling. On my layout several of my sidings are just not quite level. Cars equipped with these trucks will roll off. Since they roll so easy it helps to increase the number of cars your loco can pull. I also paint the sides of the wheels flat black which looks even more realistic. I hope Kato will keep manufacturing both the 32-601 and the 32-602, the one with the spinning wheel bearing.

      Kato trucks

      These pieces are great to replace trucks on older Athearn or MDC cars that have plastic wheels. The trucks have nice detail, and I have even used them on a 5 car set of MDC 2 bay cement cars since they came with the wrong trucks (roller bearing). Too bad that they are rumored to be out of production. Hope the rumors are wrong, or that Kato re-considers
