        Great Bargain

        I looked for an OEM replacement coil for my 22 year-old Kohler 20 HP engine but most all were in the $100.00 - $150.00 price range and the used ones were close to $50.00. Parts for aging machinery becomes very expensive and the consumer ends up paying for "obsolescence". It is great to have an alternate source, especially for about 1/3 of the OEM price. I installed the coil, set the gap with a business card, the engine fired and ran the first time it cranked over and has started quickly and reliably ever since.

        perfect fit

        The unit arrived quicker than expected and was almost identical to the original coil unit I was replacing. The spark plug boots were already installed. no issues installing and adjusting on my Kohler engine model M20QS. great price compared to OEM unit. Made it worth fixing this old riding mower. downgraded from 5 to 3 stars. mower ran great for several cuttings and then quit again. put away for winter and used other mower to finish the season. got it out to troubleshoot and the secondary side of the coil (to the plugs) is open. Maybe I just got a lemon.

        Great America product but...

        Kohler did not make doing anything on this generator easy to work on. This module did not solve my hard start problems! The carburetor is most likely the issue but it is no longer available nor is a carburetor kit! How sad is it when a company the size of Kohler can build thousands of these RV generators and not have parts or kits available for up the road after they quit the market. Surprise to me some Chinese company has not stepped in!
