      Heavier than usual

      I wanted to try a heavier string than I would normally use on a semi-hollow Ibanez I recently acquired. These work just fine. Not as much stretch as the 10s I usually play. Still bright since they are new but with a slightly "thicker" tone. Smoother. I really like them on this guitar. May try them on one of my Strats or Teles. I've trusted this brand for decades. Never let me down.

      D'Addario EXL 115 Round-wound Nickel 11-49

      I have purchased the EXL 115 round-wound nickel strings previously and have been very pleased with the quality and tone of these strings. Unfortunately, three sets of these strings that I received were "dead on arrival". The strings were brand new and in the original factory packaging. However, when I installed the strings on my guitar, the strings sounded dull, flat, and as though they had been on my guitar for several months. Only one set performed well.

      High quality guitar strings, well priced, sound great.

      If D'Addario strings are good enough for Mark Knopfler (Dire Straits), they are good enough for me. Needed to replace some broken strings and these were a good value and sound great.
