      Great saw for the money. Light weight, easy to operate.

      I am not a professional builder. I don't need the best saw money can buy. This is an great little saw for the money. I wear out a circular saw about every six or seven years. I cut boards for various home building projects. I like the this saw because its light weight and seems to be very capable of doing all that I need it to do. I am not a fan of the plastic retracting blade guard. In the pictures on eBay the guard looks like metal; I did not give it much thought until I got the saw and seen that it was plastic. The cord is pretty short. I replaced a Performax intermediate priced saw from Menards that cost more than this skil brand saw. The old saw was heavy and had plastic adjusters. For all the Performax's faults it lasted 7 years. I like this skil brand saw better than my old ...

      For the average homeowner/user I would highly recommend it.

      I bought it as a replacement for my original Skil saw that I bought 40+ years ago to build a house with. I only had to replace the cord once because it was getting old and cracking. I am 74 now, and I still need one for different things and I would not buy anything else but a Skil. I am quite it will last longer than me, and I have been using it to cut brick with and it had more power than my old one. It was getting tired and old, just like me.

      Good-looking Used Saw!

      Even though the saw is used, it looks brand new. The 4 star rating is because the saw didn't come with a saw blade; even a used saw blade would have made the saw look even newer.

      Great saw!

      Was surprised when FedEx delivered it on Saturday 11/11. But they did not buff out the scratches on the bottom! :) Just joking there if it was not for that you would not know it was not new! Seems to have plenty of power! I was thinking of getting one from HFT price is about the same but when they start comparing their saws to Black & Decker that was a turn off! Sorry B&D I do not need a one shot item!
