        I'm Biased... I Like It

Biased because I'm a "Whovian." I never enjoyed the episodes previous to 2005 because they looked "cardboard." But since its resurrection in 2005, the improvements have been obvious, and I've become addicted. This episode is historic for being the "50th Anniversary" episode... which stretches things a bit... and surprising. No spoilers here, but there will be plenty of surprises for fans. As with rather more than a few of the series' storylines, it's a bit far-fetched, but Whovians forgive a lot. This can be considered the episode in which Peter Capaldi makes his debut as the Doctor. It has taken me awhile to accustom myself to him in the role, but it works. Good value, and happily playable on American machines, being Region 1. Enjoy!

      • Whovian Delights!

I became a fan of "Doctor Who" back in the early 70's, back then it was shown daily on our local PBS station. I came in during the end of the 3rd Doctor; Jon Pertwee and the beginning of the 4th Doctor, Tom Baker. I was hooked, now my 17 year old daughter is a second generation Whovian. She loves the 10th Doctor, David Tennant. Her room is decked out in Doctor Who memorabilia, and I have been acquiring the series on DVD for her. I saw the preview for "Day Of The Doctor" on one of the season boxed sets. I ordered it and must tell any fan of this series you must add this to your collection. This was the 50th anniversary special of the series, and Matt Smith and David Tennant shine. John Hurt is incredible as the Doctor who ended The Time War between the people of Gallifrey and The Dalecks. I ...

      • Timey whimey?

Ok so I enjoyed the show my one caveat, is the way the BBC sells a series without the specials, that stinks I wanted to watch the entire series bought all the complete series, but they weren't complete I had to order the specials separately. So I couldn't watch the series in a binge but had to watch ahead while I waited for the mail to deliver the specials, I'm out on the country with no affordable internet available, so order the series or dont wstch

      • Dr Who saves Galifrey- we hope so anyway....

3 doctors in one show. Excellent writing, witty and fun. This is the best Dr Who episode ever.
