      Exactly As Pictured!

      I was looking for a brake set for a vintage Peugeot I was rebuilding with modern components as I bought it as a frameset only. Peugeots of mid '80s vintage (or, of mid to lower level) have long axle-to-brake bridge lengths and I was running a 700C wheelset. Normal short reach Shimano (and others) brakes reach to a max of 49mm and I needed 57 or better. The great thing about these brakes is that they are dual pivot (for better stopping power than single pivots) while being medium reach (47-57mm instead of 39-49mm). Additionally, they have a great finish that matches the other Shimano components I have on the bike (Ultegra 9-speed circa early 2000s). The ad said the brake reach was 39-49mm (very common) but the pictures--which were large and very helpful and descriptive--had the back of one ...
