      • Best historical ever written

I have read this entire 21 book series 6 times over the last 10 years, and have never read another favorite book more than 3 times. These books are not just about the Royal navy during the Napolianic wars, they speak volumes about human nature, friendship and love in a timeless way. The quality of the hard cover complete set is excellent so far, but I am only halfway through the first book in my 7 reading of the series. In my humble opinion O' Brian is on par with Shakespeare.

      • Okay. Good value, Very thin paper.

Decent enough but a bit wordy. Printed on extremely thin paper that has absolutely no tooth, which makes it very difficult to turn a single page without having the fiddle with it. For this many pages - well over six thousand, that is a LOT of fiddling. I would rather have paid $50 more and more toothy paper.
