This particular Dell model is more than enough for running a firewall software. I'm using pfSense on it and even added Suricata into the mix (an intrusion detection software running on top of pfSense in my case). This box is actually performing better than actual Netgate's 2100, but I haven't been able to compare against their Intel-based models. Overall more than happy.
