As far as I can tell, the noise cancellation doesn't work, but I'm not sure it matters - these headphones are so well insulated that outside sounds are well mitigated anyway. While the headphones are adjustable, the smallest size is still too big to fit me comfortably unless I wear a cap under them - and my head is slightly above average size, judging by my hat size. So, don't buy these if your head is small.
