Packaging was secure enough to protect the tool but not excessive. I appreciated the reuse of recycled packing materials and newspaper - I prefer packaging that is less wasteful and more smart/thrifty. The hackle is in decent shape for not having been used for several decades - with a pile of elbow grease and time, I'll be able to get it back in service for next year.
