    A must have to avoid hard drive failure.

    Some people think that a hard drive is secure enough with just the plastic cover over the bay, but this hard drive caddy secures the hard drive in place guaranteeing positive contact to the receptacle and the hard drive, and reduces shock to the hard drive as well. If you buy a used laptop and it doesn't have one, definitely get one. It's worth the investment.
