After installing batteries, the device immediately triggered an alarm saying ‘smoke in entryway’. Clearly, this was a previously used and faulty. Attempted to work with the seller for a return, but was ghosted and had to contact eBay.

Instead of agreeing to accept the return, he recommended I try a "factory reset" with no instructions on how to do that. Very unhappy.
