With the lid on you can only fit about 5.5 gallons, and without the lid on it doesn’t hold much more than about 6.5. The bottom of the tank has a smaller footprint than the top of the tank so multiplying the dimensions yields a greater volume than the tank actually holds, and the dimensions weren’t even posted at the time I bought this so I trusted the seller to be listing the volume accurately. Quite disappointed in being lied to.

I had lots of questions because I live in Hawaii and this was my first eBay purchase. They took the time to answer everything. They also shipped everything quickly. USPS was the reasons for delays and one of my tanks came with a crack. It was obvious that one package was handled with care while USPS didn’t do the same with the other. I am satisfied with the lights I got and my one tank looks amazing! Don’t hesitate to buy from them!
