    Easy to erase AND strong dark mark; great for writing musical notation.

    I like the Dixon Ticonderoga 1B extra-soft pencils, because they both make a strong, dark mark, AND they are easier to erase than harder pencils. They are also my very favorite pencils for writing musical charts because of the reasons I just mentioned.
