They said they never inspected the product before shipping it out, since it appeared unopened. To my dismay, my favorite item of the set was damaged. The seller sent me a partial refund for about 1/4 of the price I paid. I appreciated the gesture and communication. Buying dishware on ebay is very risky, since you never know how the shipping transit will go, and how the box is handled.
