The EF-S offers complete versatility for whatever your shooting needs may be. It has a versatile 18-135mm zoom which is just right for capturing anything from landscapes to portraits. This item is a great lens to take on a trip because you won’t need to switch out your lens very often thanks to its wide focal range. Its focal lengths give you the means of shooting just about any type of composition from wide-angle to close-up shots. This Canon 18-135mm lens is one of the photographic accessories that is ideal for low-light conditions when a tripod cannot be used. That's because its image-stabilizer system reduces the blurring effect of camera shake. The fast autofocus with a full-time manual override is another useful feature for achieving sharp images. The EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS is also equipped with Canon's exterior design for lenses. This design has a textured finish for a sophisticated look and feel that matches your EOS camera. It's constructed with a plastic barrel and metal mount for durability. Even with the inclusion of a metal mount, the weight of this device is kept to just over 1 pound. At this weight, placing it on your digital SLR won't add a large amount of extra weight. This also allows for high portability when carrying the device for sightseeing. This Canon lens measures at 2.97 by 3.98 inches, which is small enough to hold in your hand easily. When you're looking to add accessories, such as filters, to these Canon EF-S lenses, they are compatible with thread sizes of 67mm. For macro images, this DSLR lens has a macro focus range of .45m. You'll notice with this zoom EF-S lens that it has a wide viewing angle of over 74 degrees. This provides you with the means of capturing every detail in a wide frame. This lens was crafted by Canon and released in 2009. It's built with a total of 16 elements in 12 groups. Each part is made to be durable and long lasting. When you wish to hone in on a single object, the 135mm focal length allows you to capture even the smallest detail. The maximum aperture range found on this Canon EF-S lens is f/3.5 to f/5.6. The minimum rests at f/38, providing you with a significant amount of control over how each of your photos looks. While this Canon telephoto lens comes with a wide aperture range, this setting is controlled by the Canon EOS camera. This lens also includes an optical zoom of .21x magnification and is equipped with a total of six diaphragm blades. This Canon f/3 model comes with solid black construction and white detailing for easy-to-read settings.
